Jan Wüllenweber

Jan Wüllenweber has been leading McKinsey’s global procurement practice for many years. Based in Germany, he serves both regional and global clients in automotive, consumer goods and other industries as they address procurement-related challenges. He advises on transforming performance, driving cost optimization, setting new operating models, and improving sourcing models across supply chains.

He studied industrial engineering at the Technical University Darmstadt, including coursework at RWTH Aachen, EPFL Lausanne, and the University of London. His thesis at the University of Cologne explored the sources of sustainable competitive advantage in logistics. He has published articles and gives speeches on his latest perspective on procurement, operations technology, and the procurement capabilities of the future.
